Class: 2s Room Year: 2025 - 2026
Our story focus this term is The 3 Billy Goats Gruff. We have explored the story in various ways from building bridges with the blocks to create our own trolls in the dough .
Repetitive stories help 2-year-olds build brain connections, learn new words, and feel safe. Hearing the same story over and over lets toddlers guess what happens next. This builds their confidence and helps them make sense of the busy world around them.
What lovely weather we have had . The 2s have enjoyed keeping cool in the rising temperatures. What better way to keep cool then splash around in cool water and make some nice cool ice creams.
We had a visit from Key Strings, they brought in ukeleles, violins and other string istruments, they played us some music and let us have a go of the instruments too!
We also has a visit from the librarian, we invited our parents , carers and grandparents to come and share a story with us.
The weather has been very warm, so we enjoyed lots of water play and making ice creams in our mud kitchen . The children really engaged in chopping ingredients safely to add to their ice cream.
