Summer Term in the 2 year old room

Our recent learning has been centred around the story Jasper’s Beanstalk. Children have enjoyed hands-on experiences planting beans and learning how to care for them as they grow. We also developed our pouring skills during water play, using watering cans to nurture our plants. Using construction resources such as Duplo blocks, the children explored building their own beanstalks, showing creativity and early problem-solving. In the mud kitchen, we had great fun creating “spring potions,” using natural materials like blossoms to decorate and enhance our imaginative play.

We are becoming very independent. We encourage independence daily through collecting and preparing our own snacks and cleaning away when we are finished. The chlidren brush their teeth daily, independently adding their own toothpaste and making sure their faces are clean afterwrds.
